Instructions

  • 1.   Slice the onions, cut the carrots into rounds.
  • 2.   In a large pot, sauté the onions; fry the bacon, carrots, mushrooms, and herbs.
  • 3.   Add the tomato paste and lentils. Add the chicken broth. Cook for about 25 minutes (until the lentils are tender).
  • 4.   Drain the lentils. Keep the cooking liquid with 6 tablespoons of lentils. Add the cream to the cooking liquid and let it reduce for 15 minutes over high heat.
  • 5.   Blend the sauce and add it to the lentils.
  • 6.   Serve hot as a main dish or as a side dish with meat or poultry.

  • 150 g of button mushroom
  • 300 g of smoked bacon
  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • 250 g of sour cream
  • 2 leaf of bay leaf
  • 350 ml of tomato coulis
  • 1 pinch of Provence herb
