Creamed Spinach

Instructions

  • 1.   Remove the stems from the spinach leaves by pulling on them. Peel and chop the onion.
  • 2.   Heat the butter in a large sauté pan. When it is foamy, add the chopped onion.
  • 3.   Let it brown for 5 to 10 minutes, it should be golden.
  • 4.   Add the spinach leaves all at once and cover for 2 minutes. Then remove the lid and mix carefully until all the spinach has wilted.
  • 5.   Pour in the cream and mix well. As soon as it is hot on the spinach, remove the sauté pan from the heat and serve immediately. Spinach does not reheat well!

  • 2 tablespoon of thick sour cream
  • 1 onion
  • 20 g of butter
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
