Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Peel the button mushrooms and cut them into quarters. Peel the onion and thinly slice it. Peel the shallot and finely chop it. Peel and degerm the garlic, then press it.
2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, shallot, garlic, egg, and dried herbs. Season generously with salt and pepper, then mix well. Shape into meatballs of about 30 g (1 oz) each (add more breadcrumbs if the mixture is too moist).
3. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, maple syrup, and whole grain mustard.
4. Add the meatballs to the sauce and coat them well, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Add the mushrooms, red onion, and green beans around the meatballs. Drizzle with a little olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Notes & Suggestions
Serve with green beans, mushrooms, bell peppers, or eggplants, depending on the season.
