. Wash and steam the leeks for 30 minutes.

. Drain the leeks on a towel.

. Fold them in half and roll them in grated gruyère cheese, then wrap each one in a slice of ham.

. Arrange them in a greased dish with the remaining butter, cover with cream, and sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.

. Bake in the oven at 210°C (410°F) for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
