1. Prepare black coffee.
2. Put the bacon in a cast iron pot over low heat.
3. Let them melt.
4. Then finely chop them on your cutting board.
5. Peel and rinse the onion.
6. As soon as the bacon is melted, add the onion and a little butter.
7. Meanwhile, peel the carrots and potatoes using a peeler.
8. Wash them in a basin of clean water.
9. Cut these 2 vegetables separately into slices.
10. Once the onion is well melted, add the carrots and then the potatoes to the contents of the pot.
11. Pour water into the pot until it is half full.
12. Close the pot and let it boil.
13. After 30 minutes, add 1/2 cup of black coffee.
14. Season with salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
15. Stir everything with a spatula.
16. Continue cooking for 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
17. Serve the stew in a dish accompanied by meat of your choice.
