. Mix mustard, oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl

. Brush the chicken with 2/3 of this marinade in a dish and cover it with plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for 3 hours

. Slice the onions and marinate them for 3 hours with the remaining third of the marinade
