Instructions

  • 1.   Take the butter out 5-10 minutes in advance so that it becomes soft.
  • 2.   Crush the walnuts into pieces, not too small as it adds extra crunch.
  • 3.   Mix the butter and sugar together (it's easier to do it by hand). Do not melt the butter!
  • 4.   Add the egg and mix until you obtain a creamy mixture.
  • 5.   Incorporate the flour and finish kneading by hand.
  • 6.   Mix the crushed walnuts into the dough; if there isn't enough, add more.
  • 7.   Place the dough on parchment paper. Cover it with another sheet of parchment paper and roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 5mm, otherwise the cookies will be too big.
  • 8.   Refrigerate for 30 minutes, otherwise it will be very difficult to cut the cookies.
  • 9.   Cut the cookies with a cookie cutter (or a glass) and bake them in the oven for 15 minutes at 170°C (as soon as they turn golden, remove them, they will harden on their own).
