Snow Cake

Instructions

  • 1.   Grease and flour a mold of your choice. Tap the mold to remove excess flour.
  • 2.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 3.   Beat the egg whites with the vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • 4.   Gradually add the remaining sugar while continuing to beat.
  • 5.   In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking powder.
  • 6.   Sift this mixture over the egg whites and gently fold in using a spatula.
  • 7.   Finally, incorporate the melted and cooled butter.
  • 8.   Pour the batter into the mold and bake for about 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a toothpick that should come out clean.
    In an air fryer, cook at 180°C for 25 minutes.
  • 9.   Remove from the mold and let cool on a wire rack before serving.

  • 6 egg whites
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 110 g of unsalted butter
  • 120 g of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of Cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
