Instructions

  • 1.   Start by dissolving the yeast in the milk. Mix well to fully dissolve it.
  • 2.   In your mixer, add the flour and the zest of the lemon and orange.
  • 3.   Add the whole eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  • 4.   Start your mixer and begin kneading.
  • 5.   Add the milk and yeast. Then add the butter in small pieces and the orange blossom water.
  • 6.   Let it knead for 10 minutes. Your dough should come away from the sides.
    Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 4 hours.
  • 7.   Flour your work surface and work the dough for a few more minutes to remove the air. Divide your dough into two equal balls.
  • 8.   Butter a piece of parchment paper and place your two dough balls on it. Put it on your baking sheet. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for another two hours.
  • 9.   Dilute 1 tablespoon of water in the egg yolk. Mix. Brush with the egg yolk. Sprinkle with sugar grains and bake in the center of your preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes.
  • 10.   Your mouna is now ready to be enjoyed. Bon appétit!

  • 100 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g of soft butter
  • 7 cl of milk
  • 20 g of fresh baker's yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 6 tablespoon of orange blossom water
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
