Green beans carbonara

Cook the green beans "al dente". It's a change from pasta... Surprising and delicious.

Instructions

  • 1.   Steam the green beans "al dente" like pasta.
  • 2.   Cut the ham into thin strips.
  • 3.   Melt the margarine gently in a pan, add the ham and cook gently for 5 minutes until golden.
  • 4.   Add 3 tablespoons of fresh cream and heat for 2 minutes over low heat.
  • 5.   Season with pepper and nutmeg.
  • 6.   In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the remaining tablespoon of fresh cream.
  • 7.   Drain the green beans.
  • 8.   Place them in the preheated serving dish and cover.
  • 9.   Add the contents of the pan to the egg-cream mixture.
  • 10.   Pour this mixture over the kept warm green beans and serve immediately.

  • 120 g of smoked ham
  • 1000 g of green bean
  • 2 teaspoon of margarine
  • 4 tablespoon of liquid fresh cream
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 2 egg yolks
