1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan. Mix well using a spatula.
2. Bring to a simmer for 2 hours. The cooking should be done on low heat. It is important to regularly stir the mixture to prevent it from sticking (especially during the last hour of cooking).
3. At the end of the cooking time, transfer the mixture to a clean jar. The jam will firm up as it cools.
