Stuffed Bell Peppers with Herbs and Fresh Cheese

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 2.   Wash the bell peppers. Cut off the tops and remove the seeds without damaging the peppers.
  • 3.   In a bowl, mix the fresh cheese with the egg and grated cheese. Add the herbs, salt, and pepper.
  • 4.   Stuff the bell peppers with this mixture. Replace the tops and place them in a baking dish.
  • 5.   Bake for 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 160°C (320°F) and cook for an additional 20 minutes.
  • 6.   Serve hot, warm, or cold, with a well-composed green salad!

Notes & Suggestions

  • I recommend cooking the bell peppers for 5 minutes before stuffing them, otherwise they will have difficulty cooking through.
