Zucchini dough is an excellent base for pizza, croque monsieur, savory waffles...
The base of this pizza is therefore prepared with zucchini. For the topping, anything is possible.
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
Peel and grate the zucchini using a food processor.
Place the grated zucchini in a dry and clean towel to remove as much water as possible.
Press firmly.
2. In a large bowl, mix the squeezed grated zucchini, egg, whole wheat flour, pepper, and oregano until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
You now have your pizza dough.
Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
The thickness depends on your preference.
Bake for 20 minutes.
3. Then, add the toppings.
Add tomato sauce or for a white base, yogurt and pepper, vegetables, cheese, ham...
4. I love using a tomato sauce base, fresh button mushrooms, slices of yellow or orange bell peppers for color, broccoli...
But also thin slices of organic white ham and a little mozzarella.
5. If you prefer a white base: use yogurt, smooth it directly in its container with a little pepper and cumin or other spices.
Spread the base before adding your toppings.
6. Place back in the oven, still at 220°C (425°F), for 10 minutes or more depending on the toppings.
Notes & Suggestions
If you prefer, you can make mini pizzas instead of one large pizza.
Great idea for appetizers.
