1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (th.6). Cook the endives in boiling salted water for 20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the béchamel sauce. Take a little milk and mix in the flour. Put the remaining milk in a saucepan with salt and pepper. Add the diluted flour. Let it thicken while stirring constantly. In a dish, layer the endives cut in half and ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with the remaining endives.
3. Pour the béchamel sauce over the top. Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until gratiné.
