1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
2. When the onion is golden, add the ground beef and cook thoroughly.
3. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a sauté pan, slice the onion into strips, and add it to the oil.
4. Add the herbs de Provence, bay leaf, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes to the sauté pan and let it simmer for a while.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add salt, pepper, butter, and cheese.
6. Serve the pasta with the sauce on top.
