Instructions

. Mix the flour with the salt and gradually add the water until you obtain a dough.

. Knead the dough, adding the baking powder to mix it well.

. Shape the baguettes on parchment paper on a baking sheet.

. Bake them at 40°C (104°F) for 20 minutes to make them rise.

. Brush the baguettes with water.

. Increase the temperature to 220°C (428°F) and bake for 30 minutes with a pan filled with water underneath.

. When they are golden brown, remove the baguettes from the oven and let them cool on a rack.
Notes & Suggestions
The ratio of flour to water depends on the type of flour used. The more whole grain it is, the more water is needed.
