Easy and Quick Tartiflette

No more summer salads, your body craves tartiflette to withstand the cold in this harsh winter! Just a few potatoes, a good reblochon cheese, some cream, and onions, that's all you need to succeed in this easy and quick tartiflette recipe.

Instructions

  • 1.   Carefully wash the potatoes. Fill a large pot with water and add coarse salt. Place the potatoes in the water and cook for 20 minutes after it comes to a boil.
  • 2.   Peel and slice the onions, making sure to remove the sprout. In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the sliced onions. When they become translucent, add the smoked bacon bits. Heat the oil in a pan. Continue cooking, stirring regularly with a wooden spoon, until the onions and bacon are golden brown. Deglaze the pan with white wine and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • 3.   Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Cut the reblochon cheese into long slices. Crush the white peppercorns in a mortar and pestle. Peel the cooked potatoes and cut them into thick slices.
  • 4.   Butter a large baking dish or individual ramekins. Grate some nutmeg over it. Sprinkle with crushed white pepper. Spread the onions and bacon cooked in white wine over it. Cover everything with cream, then arrange the cheese slices on top. Bake the tartiflette for 40 minutes, until the reblochon forms a golden and gratin crust.
  • 5.   Serve your delicious tartiflette hot, right out of the oven, accompanied by a nice green salad with vinaigrette and a glass of Savoie white wine.

  • 1.5 kg of firm-fleshed potato
  • 500 g of Reblochon
  • 150 g of smoked bacon
  • 100 g of thick sour cream
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • 3 onions
  • 3 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of coarse salt
  • 1 nutmeg
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
