Chocolate Fondant

Delicious and moist chocolate fondant, rich in chocolate. A killer!

Instructions

  • 1.   Separate the egg whites from the yolks of 4 eggs and beat them until stiff peaks form.
  • 2.   Mix 125g of melted butter with 125g of sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 3.   Mix 80g of flour and baking powder. Add to the butter/sugar mixture.
  • 4.   Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  • 5.   Then add the 250g of melted chocolate. Once the mixture has cooled, add the egg yolks.
  • 6.   Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
  • 7.   Reduce the temperature to 170°C (338°F) and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the cake.
  • 8.   Grease a cake pan, pour in the batter, and place in the preheated oven.
  • 9.   Whip the heavy cream with 75g of sugar to make whipped cream.

Notes & Suggestions

  • Use dark chocolate with 70% cocoa content.
