Grated Potatoes (Grumbeerekiechle)

Instructions

  • 1.   Grate the washed and peeled potatoes on a not too fine grater. Drain them and then squeeze them firmly.
  • 2.   Mix the grated potatoes with the beaten egg, finely chopped parsley and onion, then season and mix everything together.
  • 3.   Form patties with a well-filled tablespoon, slide them into a pan with hot oil and press them down with the spoon. Brown them on both sides. Enjoy.

Notes & Suggestions

  • Some tips: - Serve your grated potatoes with meat... - You can also add a little grated nutmeg to your preparation. - I didn't put parsley in my recipe because my husband simply doesn't like it. - I might try a version with bacon bits, or ham, or even cheese! What about you?
