Bonito Bowls

A bonito bowl inspired by beef tartare that showcases this underrated fish.

Instructions

  • 1.   1. Peel and finely chop the onion. Roughly chop the capers and pickles. Cut the bonito into large cubes. Squeeze the juice of ½ lemon. Toast the bread and cut it into large cubes.
  • 2.   2. In a bowl, place the bonito, season with salt and pepper. Then add the onion, capers, pickles, olive oil, lemon juice, ketchup, horseradish, lettuce or herbs, and bread. Mix well. Divide into bowls and top with egg yolks. Serve.

  • 6 pickles
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 4 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ medium lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon of horseradish
  • 2 handful of lettuce
  • 4 small egg yolk
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
