Tajine-style Apples

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Wash the apples and cut them in half. Remove the core and seeds. Slice the onions.
  • 2.   In a bowl, mix the ground lamb, half of the onions, and the finely chopped coriander. Add the crushed walnuts, ras-el-hanout, cumin, and raisins. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  • 3.   Generously stuff the apple halves with the mixture. Place them in a baking dish and add a knob of butter. Pour the chicken broth into the dish, along with the remaining onions and peeled and quartered potatoes. Bake for 30 minutes, basting with the broth halfway through cooking.
