Instructions
1. Peel and chop two onions. Blend them with the peeled garlic cloves, chili pepper, ginger, and turmeric until you obtain a smooth paste. Add the yogurt and blend again.
2. Marinate the fish in this mixture for 2 hours in the refrigerator, flipping the fillets once.
3. Slice the remaining onion and sauté it in a little olive oil. Add ground coriander and cinnamon, sugar, and caramelize for 2 minutes. Reserve in a bowl.
4. Instead of the onion, sauté the well-drained fillets (reserve the marinade) for 3 minutes on each side. Pour the marinade and broth into the sauté pan.
5. Cook the basmati rice according to the instructions on the packaging.
6. Add the bay leaf and cloves. Cover halfway and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Serve this fish curry with the spiced onions, basmati rice, fresh coriander, and minced green chili pepper.
