Instructions

  • 1.   Step 1:
  • 2.   Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the pie crust in a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork. Place the pan in the refrigerator while preparing the apples. Step 2:
  • 3.   Peel the apples and cut them into slices about 3 mm thick. Step 3:
  • 4.   Spread a layer of applesauce on the bottom of the tart. Step 4:
  • 5.   Arrange the apple slices in a rosette pattern on the bottom of the tart. Make sure to arrange them nicely. Step 5:
  • 6.   Add a few knobs of butter on top of the apples. Step 6:
  • 7.   Sprinkle the apples with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Step 7:
  • 8.   Bake for 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the more indulgent.
