Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • 2.   Using a knife or a pair of scissors, cut 10 rectangles of puff pastry, then cut 4 strips from each rectangle, to obtain 40 pieces of pastry.
  • 3.   Wrap each sausage with 4 stretched strips of pastry. Leave a space between two strips, about 1 cm from the edge on one side, to create the mummy's eyes.
  • 4.   Place the mummies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then bake for 13 to 17 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
  • 5.   After removing from the oven, create the mummies' eyes by pressing 2 peppercorns into each sausage.
  • 6.   Enjoy immediately.
