BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON BITS

Instructions

  • 1.   Bring a large pot of water to a boil with a teaspoon of salt.
  • 2.   Clean the Brussels sprouts with fresh water, removing any dirt. Remove any wilted leaves.
  • 3.   Place the Brussels sprouts in the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • 4.   Peel and slice the onions.
  • 5.   Sauté the onions with the bacon bits and Brussels sprouts for a few minutes. Add the heavy cream, pepper, and Espelette pepper. Continue cooking for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring regularly, and serve.
