1. Pour a drizzle of olive oil into a Dutch oven. Slice the carrots and add them to the Dutch oven along with the shallots, onions, crushed garlic cloves, whole sprigs of parsley, and bouquet garni.
2. Add the raw lentils and enough water to cover everything. Bring to a boil and let cook for at least 30 minutes. Once the lentils are well cooked, blend them.
3. Add cream and milk to achieve the desired consistency, season with salt and pepper.
4. Grill the bacon and add it on top.
