Penne with Ham in Beaufort Cream Sauce

A complete, simple, and quick dish!

To change it up, replace the ham with sliced turkey fillets or shredded pork roast.
Use aged Cantal cheese instead of Beaufort if not available in stores.
For a "Kids" meal, use young Cantal cheese instead of Beaufort.

Instructions

  • 1.   How to make it?

    Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water for about 8 to 10 minutes (or with a bouillon cube).
  • 2.   > While the pasta is cooking, in a saucepan, add the Beaufort cheese (grated or in small cubes for faster melting), the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Heat over low/medium heat, stirring, until the cheese melts and the cream is smooth. Let simmer very gently, stirring occasionally.
  • 3.   > Cut the ham into 1 cm wide strips and set aside on a plate.
  • 4.   > When the penne pasta is cooked, drain it and plate it with the Beaufort cream sauce and the ham strips on top.
  • 5.   > Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
  • 6.   > To change it up, replace the ham with sliced turkey fillets or shredded pork roast.
    You can also replace Beaufort with Cantal cheese.

  • 500 g of penne
  • 150 g of beaufort
  • 200 ml of liquid fresh cream
  • 150 g of Cantal (optional)
  • 1 sprig of fresh parsley (optional)
