Cyril Lignac's Chocolate and Mascarpone Cake

Instructions

  • 1.   Step 1: Cake preparation
  • 2.   In a bowl, mix the mascarpone with the melted dark chocolate. Step 2:
  • 3.   Add the whole eggs, one at a time, and mix. Step 3:
  • 4.   Add the powdered sugar and mix. Step 4:
  • 5.   Add the flour and mix. Step 5: Baking and resting
  • 6.   Pour the batter into a square mold (here 22cm). Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 25 minutes. Let it cool and refrigerate to firm up the cake. Step 6: For the glaze
  • 7.   Melt the chocolate and butter.
  • 8.   Take the cake out of the fridge, unmold it, and pour the glaze over it.
  • 9.   Carefully spread the glaze over the entire cake. Step 7:
  • 10.   Wait a little for it to thicken and run a bread knife blade to create beautiful waves. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
