Orange and Goat Cheese Honey Endive Tatin

Sweet and savory endive tatin with orange flavor and the classic combination of goat cheese and honey. Serve with grated carrots and salad.

Instructions

  • 1.   Sauté the endives, cut into long quarters, in butter over high heat until they are golden on both sides.
  • 2.   Once they are nicely browned, reduce the heat to medium and add 1 tsp of honey and the orange juice; cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  • 3.   Butter a tart dish, add 1 tsp of honey, evenly distribute the endives, and then add the diced goat cheese.
  • 4.   Cover with puff pastry, tucking the edges inside.
  • 5.   Bake for 25 minutes at 200°C (400°F).
  • 6.   To serve, flip the dish to make it a tatin.

Notes & Suggestions

  • You can also add bacon bits if desired.

  • 40 g of butter
