Crispy Shrimp with Gochujang-Honey Sauce

Instructions

  • 1.   Rinse the previously thawed shrimp, drain them well, and dry them with paper towels.
  • 2.   Mix the shrimp in a large enough bowl with 160 g of cornstarch, 1 pressed garlic clove, a little salt and pepper.
  • 3.   Heat sesame oil in a deep frying pan (wok type) and fry the shrimp on each side.
  • 4.   Meanwhile, mix Gochujang, honey, soy sauce, remaining cornstarch with the other pressed garlic clove and a little water until smooth. Then add it to the shrimp in the pan. Briefly reduce while stirring.
  • 5.   Briefly reduce while stirring.
  • 6.   Fill a bowl with rice and add the shrimp. Serve with sesame seeds and radish sprouts (decoration).

Notes & Suggestions

  • The "pimnet puree" in the recipe is Gochujang.

  • 2 tablespoon of liquid honey
