German-style cooked white cabbage

Instructions

  • 1.   1/ Melt the butter with the flour. When it is absorbed, add the cabbage and mix.
  • 2.   2/ Pour in milk until it reaches about halfway up. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • 3.   Cover and reduce the heat to low. Stir occasionally until the cabbage is tender and has absorbed the milk. Approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 4.   You can add a tiny bit of water if the cabbage still seems crunchy.
  • 5.   Ideal to accompany sausage and mashed potatoes!
