Sausage and white bean stew

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Cook the sausages in a skillet (without adding any fat) for 5 to 7 minutes until they are golden brown.
  • 2.   Slice them into rounds, not too thin, not too thick, and arrange them in a baking dish. Peel the garlic cloves, chop them.
  • 3.   Add the chopped garlic to the sausages along with the crushed tomatoes, beans, mustard, and two tablespoons of water. Season with pepper. Stir, cover the dish with a lid, and place it in the oven.
  • 4.   Let it cook for 25 minutes covered, then remove the lid and let it cook for an additional 10 minutes to lightly brown the surface.
  • 5.   Garnish with fresh parsley when it comes out of the oven and serve immediately with a green salad and garlic-rubbed croutons.

  • 800 g of canned white beans (drained weight)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon of fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoon of mustard
  • pepper (according to taste)
