Hummus: the best recipe

Lebanese hummus is ideal for appetizers or picnics. This traditional vegetarian recipe is easy to prepare. Hummus is mainly made of chickpeas, blended with sesame oil, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice.

Instructions

  • 1.   Put the drained chickpeas in a blender. Blend lightly while adding a little cooking water.
  • 2.   Add tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt, and continue blending while gradually incorporating olive oil until obtaining a smooth and creamy texture.
  • 3.   Optionally, you can drizzle the hummus with sesame oil and sprinkle with cumin.

  • 3 tahini (sesame paste) (optional)
  • 4 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 3 olive oil
  • 1 salt
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil (optional)
