Ground meat and bacon lasagna

Combination of a lasagna recipe and bolognese sauce

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • 2.   Cut the onions and sauté them over high heat in butter (add the herbs)
  • 3.   Quickly add the bacon, which will release fat to cook the onions
  • 4.   Once the bacon is partially cooked, add the ground meat (add the herbs)
  • 5.   Once the ground meat is partially cooked, deglaze with white wine
  • 6.   Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, and let it reduce (add the herbs)
  • 7.   Once reduced, add some of the Parmesan cheese
  • 8.   DO NOT PRECOOK THE LASAGNA NOODLES
  • 9.   For assembly, start with lasagna sheets, then the filling, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella
  • 10.   On the final layer, finish with lasagna sheets and top with melted butter, grated cheese, and breadcrumbs
  • 11.   Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C (350°F)

Notes & Suggestions

  • For a large lasagna dish, plan for 5 lasagna noodles per layer, typically 3 layers

  • 1 glass of white wine
  • 30 g of butter
  • 2 tablespoon of bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • 3 tablespoon of dried parsley
  • 200 g of ground meat
  • 100 g of bacon cube
  • 400 g of crushed tomato
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 100 g of grated parmesan
  • 100 g of mozzarella
  • 3 tablespoon of breading
  • 1 onion
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
