Instructions

  • 1.   1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 🔥
  • 2.   2️⃣ Roll out the pastry in a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  • 3.   3️⃣ Heat the milk with the vanilla until it simmers. 🍦
  • 4.   4️⃣ Whisk the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes pale.
  • 5.   5️⃣ Add the cornstarch and mix well to avoid lumps.
  • 6.   6️⃣ Remove the vanilla pod from the hot milk, then gradually pour it over the egg-sugar mixture while whisking.
  • 7.   7️⃣ Pour everything back into the saucepan and thicken over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • 8.   8️⃣ Pour this creamy custard over the pastry and smooth the surface. 🥧
  • 9.   9️⃣ Bake for about 40 minutes, until the top is nicely golden.
