Pad Thai (Thai-style stir-fried noodles)

Instructions

  • 1.   Soak the rice noodles in hot water for 10 minutes, until they soften. Drain and set aside. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet. When the oil is very hot, sauté the garlic, chili peppers, and pork, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
  • 2.   Add the shrimp meat and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the scallions and noodles, cover, and cook for an additional minute.
  • 3.   Add the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, and eggs. Mix well using tongs or wooden spoons, until everything is heated through.
  • 4.   Sprinkle with bean sprouts, cilantro, and peanuts. This dish is traditionally served with fried onions, brown sugar, and chopped peanuts.

  • 2 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 glass of soybean sprout
  • 1 sprig of fresh coriander
  • ½ glass of peanut
