Walnut Cake

Instructions

  • 1.   Grind the walnuts. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks.
  • 2.   In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the powdered sugar. Add the egg yolks. When the mixture is well blended and smooth, add the milk, walnut powder, flour, and baking powder. The batter should be thick.
  • 3.   Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the batter in two parts. Stir gently using a spatula.
  • 4.   Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Pour the batter into a large greased and floured cake pan, unless it is silicone.
  • 5.   Bake for 40 minutes, until the cake is golden brown. Let it cool on a wire rack before serving.
