Ham with port wine

Instructions

  • 1.   In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the flour and lightly brown the flour while stirring. Remove from heat, add the juice from the can of mushrooms and the port wine while stirring with a whisk. Add a little water and return to heat until simmering. Add more water until desired creaminess is achieved. Add the tomato paste and mushrooms. Stir, then add the ham cut into half slices; once simmering, let cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
