Buttered pasta shells

A classic among classics, buttered pasta shells for kids and adults alike. The key is the quality of the pasta. Simply seasoned with butter and grated cheese, you'll melt away.

Instructions

  • 1.   In a large enough saucepan, bring at least 3 liters of salted water to a boil with 2 teaspoons of coarse salt per liter of water.
  • 2.   As soon as it boils, pour in the pasta and let it cook over very high heat so that the boiling resumes quickly.
  • 3.   Let it cook vigorously for about 10 minutes from the resumption of boiling and without covering.
  • 4.   Drain the pasta shells.
  • 5.   Pour into the serving dish. Mix with the butter and grated cheese, and serve immediately.

Notes & Suggestions

  • Season with freshly ground pepper, unless the dish is intended for young children.
