Instructions
1. Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into 1.5 cm thick slices, then into cubes. Do not wash them anymore.
2. In a sauté pan, heat the oil. When the oil is hot, add the potatoes all at once, then coat them with oil in all directions using a wooden spoon.
3. Add salt and pepper (and optionally curry), then mix again.
4. Increase the heat to maximum and cook with the lid on until a good smell of grilled potatoes escapes... Do not uncover them before! This takes between 3 and 5 minutes.
5. Only at this point, flip the potatoes. Lower the temperature by 2 notches (to medium heat).
6. Put the lid back on, then flip the potatoes every 3 minutes for 10 minutes.
7. Now, they are cooked. Still, check with the tip of a knife.
