Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
  • 2.   Layer the potato slices, dry ham, grated gruyère cheese, and cream, season with salt and pepper. Repeat until the dish is filled, finishing with a layer of potatoes on top.
  • 3.   Add a knob of butter.
  • 4.   Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 50 minutes, then 5 minutes at 240°C (464°F).
  • 5.   Serve immediately.
