Instructions

  • 1.   Mix the flour, salt, and sugar.
    Add the eggs and heavy cream and mix well.
  • 2.   Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes of kneading by hand or with a mixer).
  • 3.   Dissolve the baker's yeast in a little warm milk. Mix well until completely dissolved.
  • 4.   Gradually add the milk so that it is well absorbed and a dough ball forms.
  • 5.   Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The dough should double in size.
  • 6.   Punch the dough to deflate it.
    Divide the dough into 24 balls and place them in a mold, sticking them together but not too tightly.
  • 7.   Cover again with the cloth and let it rise for 1 to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • 8.   Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 150°C (thermostat 5).
  • 9.   Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes & Suggestions

  • It can be flavored with orange blossom.
    Fresh yeast can be used.
