Tofu with Mushrooms and Cream

Here is a simple and delicious tofu recipe. If desired, you can flavor the cream with a little mustard or curry, or any other seasoning of your choice.

Instructions

  • 1.   Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat.
  • 2.   Add the dried and diced tofu.
  • 3.   Sear the tofu on all sides over high heat.
  • 4.   Reduce the heat, add the mushrooms and soy sauce, and stir well.
  • 5.   Once the mushrooms have released their liquid, add the cream, mix well, and serve immediately with rice.

Ingredients for servings

  • 125 g of tofu
  • 100 g of button mushroom
  • 2 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon of thick sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of oil

    I tried it with tofu and then with chicken instead of tofu. The soy sauce surprisingly spices up the mushroom/cream mixture.
