Apple and almond cream cake

This apple and almond cream cake is a delicious and moist dessert. This apple cake recipe will please both young and old! It is made with a cake batter based on almond cream that pairs very well with the flavor of the apples.

Instructions

  • 1.   Prepare the cake. Mix together 150 g of flour, 130 g of sugar, and the baking powder. Add 2 whole eggs, 120 g of fresh cream, and 5 cl of milk. Pour the mixture into a buttered mold.
  • 2.   Prepare the almond cream. Mix together 80 g of sugar and 50 g of softened butter. Add the whole egg and 60 g of almond powder. Mix well. Spread this mixture over the cake batter.
  • 3.   Peel and slice the apples. Arrange the apple slices on top like an apple tart.
  • 4.   Bake for about 40 minutes at 180°C (350°F) without preheating the oven. After 25 minutes of baking, cover the mold with a sheet of aluminum foil so that the top of the cake doesn't burn.

Notes & Suggestions

  • You can replace the apples with other fruits such as pears, pineapple, or strawberries depending on the season. If you don't like almond powder, you can replace it with hazelnut powder or grated coconut.
