Mashed split peas, carrots, potatoes

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and cut the potatoes and peel 3 carrots (slice 2 into rounds and dice 1 into small cubes of 3 mm).
  • 2.   Rinse the split peas and cook them in 1.5 liters of salted water for 20 minutes. Then add the onion cut into quarters, the potatoes, the 2 carrots in rounds, the bouquet garni, and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • 3.   Meanwhile, bring salted water to a boil and cook the carrot cubes for 8 minutes (they should be crunchy) and drain. When the vegetables are cooked, blend them with butter or cream.
  • 4.   In a microwave-safe container, mix in the carrot cubes and reheat before serving. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 5.   Enjoy your meal!
