Curry Chicken with Rice

Instructions

  • 1.   Step 1
    Peel and slice the onions. Sauté them in a lightly oiled pan.
    Step 2
    Cut the chicken into thin strips. Add it to the pan.
    Step 3
    Add honey, lemon juice, and sprinkle with curry (do not pour all the curry). Leave it in the pan until the chicken is fully cooked.
    Step 4
    Cook the rice.
    Step 5
    Add the cream to the mixture in the pan. Mix well, then add the remaining curry. Season with salt.
    Step 6
    Mix with the rice and serve.
    Author's Note
    Make sure the sauce is yellow and taste it after adding the curry, as a lot is needed for the dish to be well-flavored...

  • 8 chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 25 cl of thick sour cream
  • 10 teaspoon of curry powder
  • 2 onions
  • 1 kg of rice
  • 2.5 salt

    Not having any chicken breasts, I used thighs and browned them a bit before finishing cooking them in the oven. The rice was replaced with round rice, so I made a risotto by sautéing the onions and rice in the chicken fat. Then I added the curry and let it cook a bit to enhance the curry flavor, and then I let the rice swell with boiling water. Once the risotto was ready, I added honey, lemon, and sour cream. It was delicious!
