Instructions
1. Wash, peel, and chop the onion.
2. Cook the pasta as usual in a large pot, then drain it.
3. Meanwhile, sauté the onion and chili (if using) in olive oil for 5 minutes, until the onion is softened and slightly caramelized.
4. Increase the heat and add the tomatoes, tuna, capers, and a good pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about ten minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
5. Pour the pasta into the sauce, reheat if necessary, and add the lemon juice (and zest if desired).
6. Mix well, check the seasoning, and serve immediately.
No need to add cheese or condiments, the flavor is already pronounced with the capers.
